Corporate Responsibility

Whilst we run our business in line with the expectations of our stakeholders, we also see corporate responsibility as a discipline that helps us to manage risks and maximise the opportunities presented to us in a changing world.

Blackhawk Capital LLP takes its corporate responsibility extremely seriously as an employer, partner and investor.

The aim is to demonstrate these responsibilities through our corporate policies. We focus our CSR in the following areas:

Our success is dependent on a talented and engaged workforce. Because of this, we focus on making Blackhawk a great place to work, where people feel supported, are able to develop their skills and have a clear understanding of the wider business objectives.

Additionally we:

Operate an equal opportunities policy for all current and potential future employees Offer our employees clear and fair terms of employment and provide opportunities to enable them to continually develop

Health & Safety

We provide and strive to maintain a clean, healthy and safe working environment. Providing a workplace where employees feel safe is not just a legal obligation but also a fundamental factor of building employee engagement within the company.

We ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all management and business processes.

Our Clients & Shareholders

We have a passion for excellence and we take pride in our ability to deliver innovative solutions in a timely manner.

We aim for true customer satisfaction by understanding our clients’ needs and building partnerships.

We will register and resolve customer complaints in accordance with our published standards of service. Our contracts will clearly set out the agreed terms, conditions and the basis of our relationship.

We will operate in a way that safeguard against unfair business practices.

During 2015, we will be undergoing investment in further IT systems. This will enable us to reduce our carbon footprint in many ways, not least of which is a significant reduction in the amount of paper used.

We support our employees in fundraising for charities and voluntary work, recognising both the benefit to the community and to the employees themselves.

There are a number of Blackhawk employees that regularly undertake fundraising and Charity work.

We are thrilled to support the following as our chosen charity:

The Children with Special Needs Foundation whose aim is to raise funds to support individuals, groups and schools in their requests for equipment, holidays and tuition and to provide essential care for children with special needs in Surrey, East Berkshire and North Hampshire. This also includes assisting very talented children who are finding it difficult to reach their true potential without support. Every person who works with the charity is a volunteer so every penny raised goes directly to the children.

In addition:

Curtis Griffiths is a 21 year old golfer sponsored by Blackhawk Capital LLP who with our support turned professional in 2012.

Blackhawk Capital is committed to making a sustainable positive impact on the communities in which we live and operate. We aim to make a distinctive contribution to inequality and social development through the establishment of effective partnerships and programmes that make best use of the energies and skills of our employees.
